Noises Off

Theatre Royal Bath Productions present Felicity Kendal, Jonathan Coy, Matthew Kelly and Katherine Kingsley in the fortieth anniversary production of one of the greatest British comedies ever written.

Hurtling along at breakneck speed, Noises Off follows the on and off stage antics of a touring theatre company as they stumble their way through the fictional farce, Nothing On. From the shambolic final rehearsals before opening night in Weston-Super-Mare, to a disastrous matinee in Ashton-Under-Lyme seen entirely, and hilariously silently, from backstage, before we share their final, brilliantly catastrophic performance in Stockton-on-Tees.

One of the UK’s best-loved actors, Felicity Kendal plays the role of the forgetful Dotty Otley. Having shot to fame in The Good Life, Felicity has won numerous awards for her stage work.

A great way to lift the spirits! Superb timing and witty scrip and an appreciative audience made for a most enjoyable afternoon.in the first act Felicity Kendal was difficult to hear but she seemed to get a new lease of life in Act 2 and she and the whole cast were brilliant.

  • A lovely evening.

Whilst farces are not my favourite, this was very enjoyable. The play was well acted with a superb cast. Precision comic timing at its very best. Disappointingly the theatre bar does not sell Budvar only the ubiquitous pretty average Doombar. The theatre is well located very close to the Elizabeth Line Tottenham Court Road exit / entrance. Worth having a pre-play at the excellent Flat Iron restaurant in nearby in Denmark Street. A wonderful evening.

We had a good view of the stage in row P (stalls) The show was very funny, really clever and hugely entertaining. If you like a farce, then this is for you. The actors were all amazing, and their timing was brilliant. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.
